Beat 10
Officer Andy Runge
October 2011
During the month of October, I met three more residents in Beat 10. The first resident I met was Thomas Cantu. Mr. Cantu stated he has lived in the neighborhood for approximately five to six years. Mr. Cantu stated he loves the neighborhood and it is very quiet. The second resident I met was Pete Mercer. Mr. Mercer was outside walking. Mr. Mercer stated he and his wife have lived in the neighborhood for thirty nine years. Mr. Mercer stated his house was the second one built in the neighborhood. Mr. Mercer stated he goes for two walks a day and checks for burned out light poles in the evening. Mr. Mercer thanked me for stopping and talking with him. The third resident I met was Claudette Barber. Ms. Barber was outside in her front yard when I met her. Ms. Barber stated she was enjoying the cooler weather. Ms. Barber stated she has not had any problems and enjoys the neighborhood.
I visited with Mrs. Jones several times throughout the month. Mrs. Jones is doing okay and enjoys when I come to visit. Mrs. Jones stated she has not been feeling very well lately and went to the doctor to get checked out. I told Mrs. Jones to let me know if there was anything I could do to help her.
The Beat party at the Anderson’s residence was a success. I informed everyone at the party about the house watch program. Most of the people at the party were unaware of the house watch program and were glad to hear about it. I have noticed throughout the month there to be a few more house watches within my Beat.
This month I also removed bandit signs within and outside my Beat. I did not locate any light poles out within the Beat. Also this month I updated the business contact information for the Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic. I am still waiting on the business contact form to be completed by the Crazy Horse Tattoo shop on Thompson Highway. I did not locate any junk vehicles this month.
