Richmond Police Department
Beat 4
Officer Chad Petty

January 2010
This month I met three new beat contacts. I met with Cy Fletcher first where he was sitting on the front porch drinking a glass of water. Mr. Fletcher did not have any complaints. I made contact with Floene Perry. Ms. Perry stated she would be getting together with her neighbor Ms. Tello to have a super bowl party on super bowl Sunday. I also spoke with Ms. Puentes. Ms. Puentes has noticed police running radar on Second St and noticed vehicles have not been speeding as much. Ms. Puentes stated she is very happy to see the police patrolling her area throughout the night as well. Ms. Puentes thanked me for stopping by.
I picked up several bandit signs that were posted illegally in my beat and throughout the city. I conducted foot patrols through the apartment complexes. I made business checks through Wal Mart and the local corner stores. I also conducted business checks on the businesses that were closed to make sure they were not burglarized throughout the nights.
I made contact with my sex offender, Jeffery Mayberry, via phone. Mr. Mayberry stated he was in Dallas working. I filled out the monthly sex offender registration by asking Mr. Mayberry the questions over the phone. Mr. Mayberry advised me he would give me a call when he was back in town so I could make contact with him.
I located a junk vehicle 1987 blue Oldsmobile bearing TXLP S30-RLJ at 817 Fields. I was unable to make contact with the registered owner of the vehicle to issue a warning. Next month I will continue to get in contact with the registered owner.

This month I made three new beat contacts, Della Parson, Herman Banks, and Willie Tella, Jr. Ms. Parson did not have much to say and stated that it’s usually quiet in the area where she lives. I spoke with Mr. Banks who stated that he use to be the beat captain. Mr. Banks said it’s usually pretty quiet and he did not have any complaints. I also spoke with Mr. Tella who said it’s quiet and he has no complaints about the area. I gave all three residents my business card and told them to contact the PD if they has any kind of problems. This month I located a 1993 black Ford Explorer displaying TXLP FVH515, a junk vehicle, at 609 Maiden Ln. I made contact with Alma Ruiz and advised her of the city ordinance violation and issued a written warning. Since Officer Petty and I share a beat he made contact with sex offender Jeffrey Mayberry to make sure all his information was correct. This month I also made contact with Mr. Washington on a weekly basis. I also stopped by Deaf Smith Elementary and visited with the YMCA after school program.
