This month I participated in the end-of-school parade for Jane Long Elementary.  It’s a tradition they do every year and I have participated in it the past few years.  I attended the Grand Opening ceremonies for the remodeled Wal-Mart with Asst. Chief Waterbury.  The store has a fresh new look.  Met three new people in Beat 06 that were happy I took the time to introduce myself.  I was ordered by Lt. Brady to get Mr. Griffin in compliance with his multiple junk vehicles at 705 South Seventh.  Mr. Griffin was issued several citations for violation of the junk vehicle ordinance, six in all.  Since being issued the citations, Mr. Griffin has erected a sheet metal fence in his yard so the junk vehicles will be hidden and therefore in compliance.  As of report time, three of the six vehicles are now compliant.  I will check with him next month on the other three.
